Biscuit really enjoys the beach, and he is always up for going to the beach. He also enjoyed making smores! He was not afraid of the fire as we thought he might be! Although, we were really careful to keep Biscuit away from the fire as we did not want any Biscuit injuries on our vacation.
Biscuit had a big day in downtown Halifax this week! He strolled all over the city, and loved every minute. He hopped in his Hound About even before the wheels were assembled onto his Hound About! Below are some photographs of Biscuit’s adventures!

Biscuit at Cows Ice Cream in downtown Halifax! (This year, Biscuit did not have any Cows Ice Cream as he is not permitted to have it per the vet! Plus, last year, Biscuit got sick after eating the rich Cows Ice Cream). While we were eating our ice cream, Biscuit attempted to jump out of his Hound About as he wanted to be included!

Biscuit is wrapped up in his duvet like a little burrito! Biscuit is having a great time in Nova Scotia! He really enjoys the beach and sitting on the deck! A couple of photos are below!
Doug and I have been searching the stores here in Canada, and we have been unable to locate our little Biscuit on the Jones Soda Co. bottle. Biscuit appears on the green apple flavor of Jones Soda.

Biscuit is having a great vacation! He really loves the beach. We took him to Halifax yesterday and he was so happy to be out and about that he wore himself out. He tried to jump out of his Hound About because he was so excited!

Today is Biscuit’s birthday! He is nine-years young! We made August 8th his birthday as that was the day that Biscuit was rescued from the streets of North Carolina on August 8, 2010. Therefore, it seemed fitting to us to make this day his birthday. Since we do not know Biscuit’s prior history as he is a rescue, the vet approximated his age to be seven years when we adopted and rescued Biscuit.
Biscuit loves Nova Scotia — he is relaxed and he loves to go to the beach! Some photographs of Biscuit are below!
Aug 6
Biscuit arrived in Nova Scotia on Saturday night after a really long drive. Biscuit did well in the car. We think that he remembers being here from his visit last summer. He seems really relaxed and happy. Doug made him a “hamburger” out of his wet prescription food on the grill last night. Biscuit gobbled it up in one bite and persistently gave us his paw after requesting more! Below are a few photographs from Nova Scotia. We plan to take Biscuit into Halifax in his Hound About! Biscuit will also be going to the beach down the street!

Biscuit made it to Maine, the half way point to reach our destination — Nova Scotia. Biscuit had a grand time in Freeport, Maine today. He received many compliments and he met a few sheltie lovers! He even got an embroidered L.L. Bean original tote bag with his name embroidered on it for his gear! Below are a few photos of little Biscuit today. He has not had a nap in two days, but he is holding his own. He does not want to miss anything!
Jul 31
Biscuit is doing better since his fall. He is walking now, but he is still on pain medicine, and he has very short walks. We discovered last night at the vet, that Biscuit also has an ear infection. He is now on medicine to help clear his ear infection up. Otherwise, Biscuit is doing pretty well. Below is a photograph of Biscuit taken today.
Jul 30
This past weekend, Biscuit sprained his elbow located on his front paw. He slipped after getting a bath and he injured his front paw and bruised his chest. We immediately took Biscuit to for an emergency vet visit, which confirmed via x-rays that Biscuit did not have any broken bones, thank goodness. Biscuit did receive laser therapy at the vet’s office, shown in the photo below, to help his paw elbow/paw heal. Biscuit is having difficulty walking due to his injury. He is on pain medicine to help manage his pain, which also makes him sleepy.
Biscuit is improving, but he is not yet one hundred percent. We hope that he improves a little bit each day. We are going to the vet tonight for a follow-up appointment.
