Snapshot: Charleston, South Carolina, Folly Beach Babymoon
We are back from our babymoon! We are getting back into the swing of things after being away! Doug was kind enough to drive both ways, the entire way, including a difficult drive on the way home through Northern Virginia. We were very fortunate in that we had really nice weather while in Charleston. It only rained one day, thankfully! The temperatures were in the mid to high seventies, so it was really wonderful, as it was not too hot and humid!
We rented a house in Charleston, close to Folly Beach while still being not too far from downtown Charleston; we actually rented the same house that we rented last year. We all loved our time together. We spent a lot of time resting and relaxing there, and we took each day as it came. We went to downtown Charleston and we also did make it to Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, which was beautiful. We greatly enjoyed slow and relaxing days compared to our norm. We took nice long walks in the morning and spent the days at the beach reading and relaxing, followed by nice dinners with our fur girl at local restaurants, and then we took long walks on the beach watched the sun set in the evenings with our fur girl, Victory! (Victory got much needed rest after her dinner and beach excursions, as evidenced below!) Victory loved the beach. She loves walking on the beach and dipping her little paws and legs in the water! (On our last evening walk on the beach, Victory did not want to leave the beach and dug her paws in the sand because she loved it so much!) We are really grateful for this special time in our lives.
Below is a snapshot containing several iPhone photos from our babymoon. Once I finish editing the images from our trip, I will put a proper blog post together to share in the next week or two, I hope. Stay tuned.
Happy Thursday!
