Biscuit’s Successful Surgery
Our precious little Biscuit came through surgery today with no unexpected surprises. His small mass was removed and was sent to the lab for biopsy, and we should receive the results next week. His teeth have been cleaned and look very white! No tooth extractions were necessary per the exam and dental x-rays. The x-rays confirmed that Biscuit does have arthritis in his front paws. Biscuit will be on antibiotics and a pain-killer for the next week, in addition to taking the medicine to lower his urine protein levels. Biscuit, at his next check up, may be placed on medicine or receive special treatments for his arthritis after he recovers from his surgery. Biscuit, unfortunately, will be wearing a Comfy Cone as shown below for the next two weeks until his stitches are removed. All in all, Biscuit is doing pretty well with the large size Comfy Cone — he is learning to maneuver his way around. He is still giving us his paw for more kibble! We are very happy that Biscuit made it through surgery with no complications, and hope that he has a smooth recovery.
