Biscuit got a New Eco Nap Mat!

We had been looking or a little type bed for Biscuit to use in the car, when he goes with us, and we found this great eco nap mat displayed below!  The large size was a perfect size for Biscuit!  He seems to really like it!

Ten Things Your Dog Would Tell You

I thought that this was a neat post, courtesy of www.positivelypositive.com, which I am reposting below.

1. My life is likely to last ten to fifteen years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me—it is crucial to my wellbeing.

4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.

5. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I only have you.

6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don’t understand your words, I understand your voice.

7. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget.

8. Remember before you hit me that I have sharp teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.

9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting too old and weak.

10. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old. Accompany me on difficult journeys. Never say: “I cannot bear to watch” or “Let it happen in my absence.” Everything is easier for me if you are there—even my death.

Remember that I love you.

Biscuit’s New Bedding

This past weekend, Doug and I went to Ikea to purchase some new bookshelves, and we decided to purchase Biscuit some new bedding since he likes the duvet on our bed so much!  Below are a few photos of the bedding that we got for Biscuit.  So far, he really seems to love it!  The first night, Sunday night, Bsicuit thoroughly sniffed out his beding and then he took his front paws and did some “nesting” with the duvet to get it just the way he liked it!  (Biscuit can be quite particular and persistent!)

What is Biscuit Going to Order?

Doug and I have been trying to decide what we should get our little Biscuit with the gift card from Orvis as the prize for Biscuit being chosen a an Orvis Cover Dog Winner!

We are not sure if we want to change either of his beds for a new Orvis bed since he likes his current beds.

We like these items below, especially the item for the car for when we drive to Nova Scotia this summer for vacation.  We have time to decide…

Biscuit is doing really well and he is very active — the most active we have ever seen him.  We hope that he will get to see Princess, another rescue dog, in the neighborhood, that he is really into!  When he spots Princess, his ears immediately raise, his tail starts wagging, and he starts making a whistling sound!  He will walk all over the neighborhood park (off leash) in order to get her attention and play!  That would be a great Valentine’s Day present for Biscuit!

We feel very grateful to have our little Biscuit in our lives and we are keeping good thoughts for his surgery on February 17, 2012.  It a wonderful feeling  to come home each day and see Biscuit with his big brown eyes filled with affection and unconditional love!
