Monkey Bread!
Doug made us monkey bread last night! It was very good. Below is a photograph of the monkey bread!
Biscuit is doing better; however, he is more alert since his surgery and he has been very adverse to his Comfy Cone. He has already figured out how to take the Comfy Cone off by himself. He shows us his newly whitened teeth each time we put the Comfy Cone on him. He is not happy right now. We are going to go to the pet store today to see if we can purchase something to help keep the Comfy Cone on him when we are not home. We do not want him to get his stitches out and then have to repeat the surgery.
*sigh* I miss Uncle Doug’s monkey bread…
When I saw the March cover of the Orvis Dog Catalog It took my breath away! I had a Sheltie (Major) that looked so much like Biscuit. He died 2 yrs ago and I miss him so much. He, too, was beautiful and so smart and sensitive to my feelings. You are wonderful people to rescue him. What a sad situation he was in. By looking past his problems you have been rewarded with a great companion. I will save this catalog – look at it when I need a Sheltie “fix”. ( I still can’t talk about Major without crying – silly, isn’t it. At age 75 I know I’ll never have another dog so I have a sweet little rescue cat to keep me company.)
Thank you so very much for your comment, Patricia! We are so very happy to have Biscuit in our lives. He is a very remarkable little guy! I am glad that he touched your heart. I am happy that your life was touched by a special shelite as well. Thank you.
