Victory: Photography Project — 46

Beginning in January 2014, I started a weekly photography project with my muse, Victory!  I will continue to share this project on the blog this year!  My goal is to document all of Victory’s changes, while preserving fleeting moments and memories, while capturing moments of our everyday.

This weekend we finally got some sun on Saturday, which was a nice break from some of the more dreary days we have been having!  Doug likes Lionel Trains so we went to a train show at the Maryland State Fair Grounds.  It was not quite what we expected, as we were hoping for some good finds.  However, Victory had a good time and she came home with an unused/new Lionel Christmas train car from 2004, the year Doug and I met.   Fortunately, she was allowed to come to the show with us — I mean who could say no to our adorable fur girl dressed in her pink winter gear, shown below!  Victory was a hit at the train show and we met another person who adopted a sheltie from the sheltie rescue, Sheltie Haven Sheltie Rescue, Inc., where we adopted Biscuit!  Getting Victory out of the house for an outing was good for her morale!  Victory starts training again this month so that should help break up these cold winter days for her!

Victory is pictured below at the train show and outside on some bleachers at the Maryland State Fair Grounds!

Happy Monday!

PS — There are some aesthetic updates to the blog!

Victory: Photography Project — 45

Beginning in January 2014, I started a weekly photography project with my muse, Victory!  I will continue to share this project on the blog this year!  My goal is to document all of Victory’s changes, while preserving fleeting moments and memories, while capturing moments of our everyday.

Victory is pretty in pink!  Isn’t Victory just adorable in her pink fleece and pink hat!  I put together some recent images of her in pink!  She looks really good in this color!  Victory is ready for winter with her clothing and gear, as winter has indeed arrived!  She even has new boots!  We got them in Québec, so we will see if she likes to wear them outside, as we have not yet tried them on her outside!  (Victory tolerated me putting them on her in the store!)

Sometime during this coming year, Doug and I plan to commission a painting of Victory in the similar vein as her brother Biscuit’s portrait.  We have to figure out what Victory will wear and what image to base the painting, but I am sure the color pink will be involved!  The portrait of Victory will be hung right beside Biscuit’s painting in our dinning room.

Happy Thursday!

Beginning in January of this year, I began a weekly photography project with my muse, Victory!  I will continue to share this project on the blog!  I have also been documenting Victory’s milestones so to speak each month — you can read these here!  I think that it is fun to document all of Victory’s changes, while preserving fleeting moments and memories.

Well, I completed forty-four installments in total comprising this weekly series entitled, “Victory’s Photography Project 2014!”  Not too bad!  This project helped me document and share our fur girl’s first year with us!   I hope that you enjoyed this series; I have enjoyed sharing our blossoming Victory with you all!  I have not decided whether I will continue this series in 2015, or whether I will devise a new idea/series featuring Victory.  Rest assured that Victory, my muse, will continue to be featured on the blog regularly!

In other news, can you believe Christmas is tomorrow!  I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by!  It hardly seems like it is Christmas already, especially with the warmer temperatures!  Today we are listening to Christmas music as we finish getting ready for Christmas, and Victory is helping me make desserts for Christmas dinner tomorrow!  Well, it is more like she is watching me make desserts, while desperately hoping that food falls onto the floor for her to gobble up!

Victory is shown below in her Christmas sweater and her cute matching red hat, while sitting in front of her first Christmas tree waiting for Santa!  Victory made some eggnog cookies with sprinkles for Santa to set out tonight!

Happy Christmas Eve!

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we took Victory to Annapolis for the first time!  She had a great time!  (We previously took our beloved Biscuit to Annapolis as well.)  Victory was all smiles, and we took her to the  Naval Academy and walked around historic downtown Annapolis.  Annapolis is very dog friendly and Victory was able to go in every store with us!  There were many dogs around so Victory sniffed many new friends!  We even stopped at Paws, where Victory was a hit!  Below are a few images from our adventure together!

Well, Victory got another cute hat for the Holidays!  Below she is wearing her new red hat along with her Orvis hunter green coat, that she got on vacation this summer — more vacation photos are coming soon!  She just looks so adorable!  Our stockings are up, our outdoor Christmas lights and wreath are up, and Victory and her Daddy are decorating the Christmas tree together this weekend, that we just received in the mail yesterday!

Happy Friday!

It is almost the end of the year, and I thought that it would be neat to take a look back and see how far Victory has come physically and emotionally since adopting her in October 2013.  The images are shown in chronological order starting in the lower right corner and ending in the upper left corner.  Victory has really blossomed, and we feel so fortunate that she is part of our little family!

(The first image in the lower right hand corner is from Victory’s foster mom — the first image we ever saw of our fur girl!)

Happy Friday!

Since Victory has been a part of our family for over a year now, we have had the opportunity to watch every season of the Sons of Anarchy with our Victory!  This is the first series we will have watched in its entirety with Victory!  We are so sad that this series is coming to an end in a couple of weeks. This is Doug’s favorite show!  As such, Doug ordered Victory a Sons of Anarchy bandanna commemorating our time together watching an entire series together!  Of course, Victory was very cooperative wearing her new bandanna!

Be sure to follow us on Instagram!

Happy Tuesday!

I few weeks ago, I had a photo shoot in northern Pennsylvania for my dog photography project.  Doug and Victory came along with me and then we visited the campus at Penn State, where we had lunch at a place Doug recommended and we walked around the campus on a beautiful fall day; and luckily, there was not a home football game!  (Doug drove us round trip!)  Victory has now visited her first U.S. college campus!  (Victory previously visited McGill University).  Victory was all smiles; and all eyes were on Victory when I took her photograph at the Nittany Lion Shrine!  Everyone loved Victory and wanted to pet her!  Fortunately, Victory is a very agreeable gal as long as I hold her on my hip while people pet and fawn on her!  Immediately after photographing Victory, a surprise marriage proposal happened!  Also, Victory looked so tiny sitting next to the paw at the front of the Palmer Museum of Art!  The weather was beautiful and we had a fun time together!  Of course, before we left for home, we also got some ice cream, well six gallons to be exact, in dry ice, to take home from the Penn State Berkey Creamery — very good ice cream indeed!  Victory had a wonderful time and she did really well in the car as usual!  A few photographs from our outing are shown below!

Happy Wednesday!

Well, it is getting a little cooler here!  I found the most adorable hat that I happened to come across recently, and I picked it up for Victory!  When I got home, Doug just smiled (in a good way!)  I can’t help it, I love to spoil our Victory!  Plus, I want to make sure she stays warm while she is out walking despite her lush fur coat that keeps growing!  To our dismay, we have heard that this winter is supposed to be a worse winter than last year — and last year was filled with many cold days and lots of snow!  We like snow, but not too much!  In any event, Victory wears her new hat outside for her walks along with her cute pink fleece!  Victory is always so agreeable with me concerning clothing ideas and photo ideas!  We are so lucky to have Victory in our lives — she is the sweetest pup!  Enjoy the images below!

Happy Friday!

Victory had a wonderful Halloween!  Doug carved a pumpkin with dog paw prints along with Victory’s nick name, “Tory!”  It turned out really well!  Victory sat outside with us on my lap while we handed out candy on Halloween!  Below are a few images  of Victory on her second Halloween!  You can see Victory’s first Halloween here!

Happy Tuesday!
