Dog and Scooby – The Dynamic Duo! (rescues)

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Dog and Scooby.  Dog is a three-year-old lab and chow mix who is a rescue dog; and Scooby is also a rescue dog who is a five-year-old lab and shepherd mix.  These two dogs were very active and really get along well with each other!

Biscuit’s Sunday Saunter

Biscuit had a good weekend!  The weather was gorgeous here this weekend — it was sunny and not too hot and humid.  Biscuit also started to receive some of the items from his Orvis order that we placed for him last week!  He loves his new items — more on those new items in a future blog post!

Happy Monday!

A Tranquil Biscuit

Below are some images of Biscuit taken during the early morning as he rested.

Biscuit is Framed Marking his Monumental Day!

Doug and I just received Biscuit’s framed Orvis Cover Dog image along with the original photograph of Biscuit!  We are very pleased with the results.  We used James L. Pierce Fine Art and Custom Framing Galleries located in Baltimore.  Now, Biscuit will forever be in our home marking his monumental day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Announcing Katherine Carver Photography

I am very happy to announce my new photography business, Katherine Carver Photography.  You can view and share my website using the following link, www.katherinecarverphotography.com.  I am focusing on dog and animal photography with a fine art documentary approach.  Biscuit, our rescue Shetland Sheepdog, was the inspiration for pursuing this artistic endeavor.  Biscuit awakened a desire to carry my camera everywhere — creating images that preserve fleeting moments that chronicle Biscuit’s story forever; and simultaneously recording another realm that would otherwise remain unseen.

My goal is to record the unique personalities and signature physical attributes of the animals that I photograph.  I believe those who hire me are actively searching for an alternative fine art documentary approach to capture the heart and soul of their cherished furry family member(s).

“We photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing, and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth can make them come back again.  We cannot develop and print a memory.”
-Henri Cartier-Bresson

Thank you,
Katie
